When my junior college art teacher asked what I thought I would do after completing my associate’s degree, I wasn’t sure. I knew that I wanted to continue my education, and in the instant she suggested an independent study program in Paris I had decided. What better way to explore my love of languages art and travel at the same time! I spent my junior year in the city of lights, enchanted by the works of Renoir, Monet and Degas. I loved it all. I studied painting with Kathleen Scarboro Kugel and audited (crashed) drawing classes at L’ecole des Beaux Arts when I wasn’t wandering the art museums. Upon returning to the states I felt a need to be practical and abandoned my major in painting and earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration. I landed a job at a small marketing firm and soon realized that a desk job wasn’t for me, I needed to paint. I fell into decorative painting which married my illustration degree with my painting skills, and I have been happily painting murals in the Chicagoland area and across the country since 1993.
I’m excited to be able to offer this new line of wallpaper murals as well as options for completely custom wallpaper murals to my customers.
